Mr. Evans leads StrategyOne, a full-service research firm that employs opinion polling and media analysis to craft evidence based communications strategies for its clients. StrategyOne is owned by Edelman, the world’s largest independent public relations firm.
With a team of 60 primary and secondary researchers across 8 global offices in Washington D.C., New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, London, Paris and Milan, StrategyOne has more than doubled its revenues in two years by offering its clients insights and analysis on a global scale and with a global perspective.
Measuring results is imbedded in StrategyOne work through actionable stakeholder insights, reputation tracking, media analytics and PR media return.
Mr. Evans leads the research behind Edelman's Global Trust Barometer, an extensive global study on trust and reputation across 20 countries and 13 industries, now in its ninth year. His insights on corporate trust have been published in FT, AdAge, and PRWeek.
He was senior counsel in creating the Edelman Health Engagement Barometer, a 5,000-person, five-country study that identified Health Infoentials, a group of health informed and engaged people wanting more active, trusted, and personal health interaction with companies, organizations and brands.
For StrategyOne, Mr. Evans has provided strategic counsel on reputation, communications, stakeholder relationships, competitive positioning and thought leadership to companies such as Wal-Mart, Starbucks, Unilever, Shell, Johnson & Johnson, PepsiCo, AstraZeneca, Symantec and Samsung.
Prior to joining StrategyOne in 2006, Mr. Evans was a Senior Vice President with research firm Penn, Schoen & Berland Associates in New York. He conducted C-suite, B2B, technology and retail research for clients including KPMG, Shell, Siemens, Nokia, Hewlett-Packard, and Aramark.
Prior to joining PS-B in 2000, Mr. Evans spent 19 years at Caltex Corporation, owned by Chevron, where he held several international GM positions, involving country responsibility for marketing, sales and new business development.
Mr. Evans was Caltex’s General Manager of Strategic Asset Management for S.E. Asia, Southern Africa and New Zealand, where he oversaw a $ 1.6 billion portfolio of marketing assets across 9 countries
Mr. Evans holds a Master of Business Administration from the London Business School and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Hons) from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand.
